New status update. The JE pistons arrived two weeks ago and we made the final plateau honing with the finest stone and the by JE prescribed cross hatch angle. Since the cylinders weren't damaged and the ovality + conicality was within the reach for the hone, we decided to not bore up to the next cylinder size (84,2), but spent the money on custom diameter pistons instad. Interesting fact is that cylinder 3 & 4 were 2 hundreds of a mm larger than cylinder 1 & 2. A bit annoying when you order pistons. From factory you have A, B, C, D and E size class to choose between, but aftermarket pistons come in tighter tolerances supposed to be the same for all four cylinders.
