I'm wondering how much is the insurance for our cars in other countries.
I'm paying 120EUR/105GBP for a package with 5000km a year and mini-casco as well.

After a few interesting conversations, car still on French plates, but I know what UK plate its going to go back onto (probably) the insurance is now sorted out. Just waiting for a lift up to the garage, and I get to drive the car properly for the first time in over 3 years.
Can't wait.

So, how did it go? You have the dilemma of taking it out in the snow for some fun or keeping it safe at home...
1993 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 , 2.0 Turbo
Right, collecting the car went fine apart from the dodgy battery, a couple of goes later and it started and ran fine. Drove brilliantly, just like I remembered, and certainly addictive when it came on boost, was just a shame that most of the trip home was in traffic, and that the fuel light came on to stop all the fun.
The only problem was that the Oil temp gauge seems to have stopped working whilst the car has been off the road. Hopefuly its just a corroded contact but will find out when I get the chance to get out there and get started on the list of jobs.
The good news is that its now got a very good rear subframe on thanks @Xti anf that the bottom for the car has been undersealed after a couple of small welding jobs.
No dilemma here I'm afraid, Bournemouth is just a little damp, not even the hint of snow here.

Glad it went well. I don't think I've ever seen my oil temp gauge move - maybe I'll look in to that some day too.
Well, the snow didn't last long here either - expect there will be a fair amount of black ice tomorrow though.

I'm just waiting for the DVLA to sort out the reg and that will be it, properly back on the road, taxed and registered. Until then its going to be staying where it is.
My Oil temp definitely did move before, as the oil warmed up the oil pressure went down at idle, it never got to the middle of the dial, except for the times it was out on track, but it did get onto the dial.
Like I said hopefully only going to be a corroded connection.

Or there's a lack of oil
Another Q4 on the road in the UK, they'll soon outnumber V6s at this rate!

Ahh, but I had oil pressure so Ok on that front. Maybe thats the reason for both oil temp and pressure gauges, redundancy!!
