Recommend a Hosting company.

As you are all well aware the last 6 months have been rather trying for us. A range of hacking attacks and last weeks outage and dataloss has resulted in a total lack of confidence in our current host.

So if you know of any good reliable hosting companies, please let me know, I'll be examining all hosting possibilites in the next few weeks.

I think if the domain was registered in the UK and the owner lives in France than it is favorable to host the site in the UK or in France and not overseas.

I only know one hosting company in France, probably the biggest one: gandi.net. They are not bullshitting, the solutions which they can provide are awesome but way too expensive.

I used speedtest.net to find hosting companies in the UK. The company who got enough international bandwidth to host a speedtest server is a good one, well in my eyes at least.
I havent got any personal experience with them but this 2 is definitely worth a check : Good prices, Great features, Daily/Full Manual Backup
