Lovin the body work and lovin the colour as well. I've always fancied a bright yellow car with black wheels.

is this picture with the kappa manifold? This kappa manifold is from the 2,0ie VIS model or from the 16v turbo model?
Could you please post another picture so that to see the clearance from the manifold to the 'wall' behind it?

BTW, great body work. Can not comment the color as I only like just the black color.

I'm almost certain it's kappa turbo. Clearence is like 10 cm or more ... not a problem at all, have driven the car this way very hard. No pictures that would be helpfull to you, but you can still check the picasa albums: http://picasaweb.google.com/jivco.shterev/Q4StageII#

So, you have more clearance than the original manifold! More ventilation for the ignition coils and easier access to them too. That's enough for me.

    Thanks for the link.

That's a manifold from 16v turbo model. Naturally aspirated 2 liter engines in Kappa had 5 cylinder versions only (unless I miss something).

What you have to keep in mind with respect to the space between the kappa manifold and firewall - you have to modify OEM holders and mounting points for all the stuff that is attached to the firewall in the manifold area (with the Kappa manifold fitted), i.e. power steering, MAP sensor and relays, ignition modules doesn't fit to the OEM mounting points, etc. But it's very simple to find place for all of them (for some you need to modify mounting brackets, for others - find another place).

However Kappa manifold is a win with respect to space everywhere else.

    thanks for the notes 'mindus'.

What I'm thinking - planning to do is :
1} to move all those 'things' of the firewall
    and
2} mostly to use the 4 ignition coils - 4 ignition modules {on the spark plug} mod.

    So,
a} the 4 ignition coils must go where the battery is {there is no other place with enough clearance for them, even keeping the oem inlet plenum / manifold}.
    and
b} the 4 ignition coils will go on the spark plugs {see picture} and the following :
    http://forum.berlinasportivo.org/att...4&d=1247741368

Probably I'll move the relays too, next to the 4 ign coils and battery will/has to go back.
As for the MAP sensor {and the ATS of coarse} can be used the 'hybrid' Bosch one directly mounted on the Kappa inlet manifold.

as far as I know myself it will never be "finished" ... the intention of that project is the fun of making and owning a unique car, so I guess it will be a never ending project

J1v, the car is fantastic... what do you have in mind about the front bumper of the car? I've seen a photo of the car, where the i/c is infront of the rest car...

It is almost done, you'll probably see a picture of it in a couple of days. It's made from two original bumpers, no fiberglass or whatever, keeping the original design as much as possible.

BTW, I'm willing to buy a silverstone spoiler :

And also, I'm still desperately trying to find a 16v transmission and a right electrical rear view mirror so if anyone has one of those for sale, please PM me, as I'm getting close to the time I'll need them.

You can also get that spoiler from an Alfa 33 - I think it needs to be a "Series 3" 33 - wrinx will know.

Several of these in the UK if you're prepared to pay for postage, same with the gearbox...but they're both very heavy!
