Geez I've been away from the site too long, I opened this and expected a discussion about brake pads.
Any reason for the EBC route?

I went the MBC route initially as the Pierberg wasn't allowing proper amounts of boost. This was confirmed as the MBC made a huge amount of difference, albeit in a very simple way and with limited control.
So the reason for buying an EBCs is to allow programming and they actively monitor and adjust boost levels...kinda like a Pierberg I guess.
Plus it's a nice gadget...

Yes, you have control of the boost and how it behaves.
With a MBC you just control the maximum level, but EBCs allow you to be much more creative...the top ones allow you to change in gear characteristics too!
Not 100% sure about the Gizzmo until I read the book, but it's supposed to be good for the money.
You're still limited to the max ECU boost of 1.5b though

Sorry for upping old thread.
The plastic circle part at the picture in 1st page should be air filter. Like this one -> link. I have read about using of such filter, when the arrow in boost gauge is oscillating.
I have a Apexi AVC-R boost controller (bought originally for my GTV) and plan to use it in Q4 in the future and probably soon will buy another one for the GTV .
I see that kepsus have used Apexi boost controller, but not mentioned which one AVC-R or the older Super AVC-R. And don't know if it is active user anymore to share some experience .
In my opinion is better to use stock boost control instead of manual one.
One performance car is not enough ...
