Actually how many Q4s have been built?
Actually how many Q4s have been built?
Not sure there is a specific figure, but I read (on here?) that it's reckoned to be around the 2000 area.
I've got a book which gives production figures with chassis ranges but sadly the various 155s are not listed separately.

I thought it was a little higher than that, not sure where I got it from but in my mind it was 2500 series 1's (skinny/waterspray) and about 500 series 2+3's (skinny/no water + widebodies)

Wasn't it at least 2500 to be able to join the DTM series Not sure, but read somewhere the figure ~2700.
Also there are 3 series produced.
Series 1 & 2 are the skinnies, first series with waterspray and the second series not. The thirth series are the widies.
Greetings,
Marc

There was 2701 Q4's produced according to an article in the Danish Alfa Club Magazine..
How many of what series I don't know, but I do know that the widies are more rare than the skinnies..
Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 Widebody - 1995 - Blue Nord Metal - See garage
I tought there were 1500 cars with waterspray needed to use the system in the DTM.
These would be the series 1.
Most other Q4's are series 2, and not very much are the widebody version.
So a total of 2701 sounds plausible.
I really would like to know how many widebody Q4's were made.
read somewhere: total 2290 - first 1500 with waterspray, the others wide biatches.
I don't like my girls fat
total 2704 {all series} according to an old article. Can't find it right now to report the figures for every and each series. I believe the wbs were something more than 700.
If I find the numbers I'll post them here.

700 wb Q4's would make them more rare than say an SZ.
I bet that most 156 owners wouldn't believe that.
MPG is wierd to use.
I get about 1:6 to 1:7. If you manage almost 1:10 you are not doing it right.

production ended in mid '96 not in '97 like all the other 155.
Yes, wb are quite rare as their production lasted just one year {mid '95 to mid '96} - so please do NOT destroy them. More rare than an SZ but not that rare as the RZ one!!!
about hp : first series with water injection had 190 hp - 4 'extra' hp than the other series - due to its different ecu map.

Not as far as I know....you would have to manually enter the chassis number to find out which ones had the turbocharged engine....not a very exciting task!
I can give you the chassis ranges if you like...

I have a problem with 700 wb Q4's.
That number seems on the high side.
In the netherlands we have 35 Q4's sold between 1992 and 1996.
Of those:
15 series 1
14 series 2
6 series 3 (wb)
With 4 cars unkown, this probably would be:
17 series 1
14 series 2
1 car series 1 or 2, lets make it 2.
7 series 3
Imports 6 series 1, 6 series 2, 2 series 3.
total:
23 series 1, 21 series 2, 9 series 3.
Buth with 1500 series 1 and 700 series 3 i only get about 500 series 2...... Wich looks on the small side give the spread in the netherlands. They would be more rare than the widebody's!
So i guess there are more Q4's than 2701, or there are more series 2 than 500 and less series 3 than 700.
If only alfa would have these numbers........
Are the numbers in the UK known?
And where are all these wb-Q4's????
Last edited by Q4Jan; 18-01-09 at 04:26.
In Sweden we today have 30+ Q4:s and my estimation is that almost 2/3 are series 2 and only 3 are serie 3. Remember, series 3 was first produced autumn 1995 and the last car was built in April 1996. The price was really high and as far as I remember both marketing and tests in car magazines was almost non-existing for the series 3 Q4.
I have tried to find out more about the series 3 during the 11? years I have had mine, but I have found/heard off far less than 100 in total and only seen one other in real life despite many trackdays and Alfa Romeo meetings (not only in Sweden...)
Strange that there are three Series 3 cars in the UK! Although two of them are personal imports.
There are 16 UK cars according to my records but I'm pretty sure there's two or three missing. One story includes a Q4 which was converted to 2wd for racing, no info on that as yet.

there are at least 3 wb in Greece, out of total 12 Q4 imported. There must be left 9 or 10 Q4 in circulation, as at least 2 of them were totally damaged.
