    Default Barn find!

Bit unusual this one, and its me that has found it in the barn. Not an Alfa, not even a car but one of these.

For one reason or another I had to go searching around a disused property over the road from me (rural france) and I came across this stuck in the corner of a Barn. From a quick search on the net it looks like its an Oliver HG crawler from the 1950's. Wicked or what?

The place has been disused for at least the last 3 years, and I'm now in abit of a quandary as to what to do?

Interesting machine! Can you trace the owners of the land?

From what I can make out the place is empty because of a death, no one has lived there for at least 3 years, and haven't seen anyone at the property for at least 18months now. Its a real shame as its a big house/property that is now starting to fall apart.

The actual machine weighs about 1500kg's so might be a bit tricky to shift.

Something really appealing about it -especially if I lived where you did!

I like the driving position, wouldn't want to wheelie in it though! Kind of cool in a different kind of way, I like!

I don't think there is much chance of getting a wheelie out of it, not sure its got that much pickup, besides I've got a feeling that engine is gonna weigh quite abit.
I might get back down there with some EZ-start and fresh petrol (yep its a petrol motor) and give it a go with the starting handle. Chances are though that the motor is seized!! The trailer I've got won't stand 1500kg of tractor sat in it, so I might have to drag the thing back behind the RR! Thats if I can find out who owns it.
