Has this been discontinued by Alfa now? You might be able to find the comparable part on a Fiat Coupe Turbo 16v and get it from a fiat garage?

Yes, the Alfa part has been discontinued.
Do you know for sure that the corresponding one from FIAT Coupe 16VT can be used??? It will be very easy to find one here in Greece.
From the other hand the engine basement is a 131 FIAT one and the head must be the same!

I'm pretty sure it will be the same part. The Coupe 16vt engine is pretty much the same short engine as the Q4/grale . There may be a couple of cosmetic differences but it should fit fine.

you are wright Steve, it is the same part for Integrale, Q4 and Coupe 16VT! Same part number {as I was told from the retailer}.
But no longer available, even as FIAT part!

Waiting for an answer from uk and nl. Hope to have one soon.

I'll search in locals Fiat dealers. If I had some news I'll let you know.
Is almost the same as Fiat Tipo Sedicivalvole.

When was the last Coupe 16vt produced? I thought all manufacturers were required to produce spare parts for a minimum of 10 years after production stopped. Surely the last Coupe 16vt was made after 1997. Or did they move onto the 20vt earlier than I thought??

    Dear Steve,

you are wright about the 10 years request of availability for auto spare parts. But that's just another politician's lie for the people. And that's the reason you can find more than one Q4 on ebay, if you can understand me.
I do not know when the last 16VT was produced and if in theory there should be available all the parts for this FIAT.
Any way, I have had the "sory, part discontinued' answer even from UK dealers and the last one will be from 'ARparts.nl' {hope not}. In this cade I'll try to DIY in alu and even better I'd like to try to replace the belts with a good old chain ...

    Regards

    Nick

    Dear Jack,

I've just had an answer from arparts.nl and they told me that will take 2-3 weeks the item to arrive to them and a couple of days to arrive to me. I've just paied them with PayPal and I believe there will be no problem - apart the long period of time.

Thank you any way. I'm very obliged to you

    Nick

    P.S.
Just in case, keep their email address so that if something go wrong to have another soarse for spare parts.
