Default Some good news...and some bad (ECU)!!!

Thought I'd open up the ECU to find out if the Q4 has been chipped yet, before spending the mula for a chip.

It has indeed, its been Squadrised So that saves me over £300 and give something like 50bhp iirc.

Now the bad news, this means the low boost and lack of power is even worse

But worse than that...two pins have melted through and there's some spongy mess

Pins are 1 and 19...any ideas? I think they are "blk" and both go to ground.

The spongy material is normal my friend. Don't worry.

    Here are my ecu's pictures:

    Thank you

Sub has also confirmed the "foam" so I think we can say it's standard

just checked the wiring diagram for the ECU and yes pins 1 and 19 go straight to ground. Strange for them to have burn't out though. Can you see any other damage to the ECU?

Nope, nothing else. Couldn't see that they were "ground" for anything in particular either...'tis very odd!

I'll probably try and solder the pins again and see what happens....
