Excuse my ignorance, but what are the benefits of the 'grale collector, (inlet plenum) Better flow qualities? Serge is certainly using one but don't think he has mentioned the differences.

Search on the Guy Croft forum. There was a bench flow, the short part of our collectors that is attached to the intake ports is pretty bad design and has a lot of losses in it.

For those who want to know, this collector has better flow capabilities. It's shorter and with bigger inner diameters. Also it's one piece instead of two.

If someone can, go for it!!! It's a plug & play mod.

right i went for the grale intake manifold because it has shorter gas flows. --> better power at higher revs, but in theory it is worse at low rpm's. since my whole engine is totally changed i can not compare the difference between old and new manifold directly. but it works perfectly with my new engine setup. but beware, it's not as plug and play as it seems:
    - the throttle-body is tilted on the grale manifold
    - its higher, meaning that it can collide with the bonnet
    - and the strutbar for the q4 does not work anymore

what does "tilted" in regards to the throttle-body mean?
is the throttle body the same for the 2 engines?

Not seen Serge online for a while so not sure if he will see this, perhaps best to PM him.

I think by tilted he means it sits a bit higher as its not flat like the Q4 one.

They are not the same but will fit ok with adjustments.
