    Default Always something new to test you.

    So as the car is going up for an MOT on Monday I thought I'd tidy up a couple of things under the bonnet.

    One thing that has been bugging me for ages has been the connector from air filter to the turbo inlet hose. So decided to take it all out last night and fix it properly.

    Thought the air filter felt a little lose, this is the reason why.



    So along with ordering new bits of pipework, I'm now ordeing a new cone filter.

    This week I have discovered that there are two versions of the S shape type of TRE. One has a taper starting at 12mm and the other with 12.5mm. Arrrgh!

    Look to me as been too tight and filter look old. What brand is that filter? Does the filter rub on something from vibrations?

    The Filter was old, it had just been cleaned and re-oiled, so I'm guessing the filter cleaner might of reacted with the material. It is/was a BMC F1 filter.

    Doesn't owe me anything and all the parts to replace the filter and pipework have now arrived so will be sorting it out this weekend.
