Default Differences between 4 cyl and 6 cyl Tacho

    Hi all,

now this may be an easy answer or it might be a real pain in the ass. I got a replacement dash for the Q4 with the correct speedo. However when I use the car the tacho only seems to read 2/3 of what it should do. I'm not sure from what car the dash came from, but I get the feeling that it might have been a V6 model.

Is there a way to tell, I'm pretty sure both dash units had the same part number, and is there a way to swap the tacho over to 4cyl operation?

    Cheers guys

Q4 and V6 uses same tacho. I swaped from V6 to Q4 on mine and evrything worked OK. I think your tacho doesnt work correctly anymore

Its all working now, I swapped over the IC from the back for the original Tacho to the new one in the MPH dials.

Not sure if the one I had in the instuments I bought was broken or not.
