Default countershaft belt - on or off?

What do you think - should I mount the belt or not!?

If you leave it off I'm pretty sure you need to find a way to lock the shafts.

From what's been posted there is a bit more vibration from the engine without them, but not too bad.

Alfajack has done this and apparently locking the shafts was simple, but I can't remember how he did it!

Try it without, if you don't like it, put one on. Simple.

I took mine off ... Mainly on Guy Croft advise ... If the belt goes it will take out the cam belt. You make up little steel plates and it locks the shafts.
