    Default Integrale 16v ECU tuning.

Hi all, just had this through via email, thought some of the ECU gurus on here might be able to shed some light.

I have try your 260bhp file and it work correctly but not the 280bhp file (my car stalls, the ignition seems not working correctly)

    Thank you for your answer
Thought I'd stick it in here as it may get seen by more people.

It would be better if I had the original bin file to find the hex address that control the injectors

I've asked if he can send through the cars original bin file. I'll let you know when it arrives.

What are these 260 and 280 hp files? For 280 hp with stock car you have to be carefull for 2 reasons. For pick 280hp with a chip that is produced for all cars and not specially to each one, you have to increase boost. High boost with stock ignition system in Integrale evo1 with distributor may spikes at high rpm. The safe way to peak 280hp to a stock engine like ours is a nice exhaust system (decat in my opinion) a free air filter fitted in a place that will receive fresh and cold air and a good fmi. Using high octane gas 100ron preferred you can make a good chip programming with normal boost and higher spark advance. Then you can have safelly 280 hp otherwise these are risky numbers

It's my message on the first post (thanks Steve)

As I reply to Steve : when I bought my car (in 2006) it was already prepared for 250bhp (Delta16S_250CV_HAYET_HS.BIN). But after a problem with this EPROM (not recognized by ECU but not blank (?)), I changed for a new one "Delta16S_XXXCV_BRUNO.BIN". This binary file is working very well but I think that the limits in this file is too high for my engine.

I also have two others files : "Delta16S_XXXCV_LAURENT.BIN" and "Delta16S_XXXCV_LAURENT2.BIN" but not give me satisfaction.

Welcome to forum mate. A quick view now I saw 2 different kind of EPROMs. 16 and 32 kb. It would be better if you have the stock EPROM of your car to be sure what EPROM is better to suit to your car

    Hi mpampis,

Yes, it has two differents kind of EPROM : 16kb -> 27C128 and 32kb -> 27C256. My stock EPROM is 27C128.

Well as I see now Delta16S_XXXCV_BRUNO.BIN and Delta16S_XXXCV_LAURENT2.BIN are the same. I guess only upscaling for 27c256 chip. The Delta16S_XXXCV_BRUNO.BIN is good enough. I will make you a better one now if you want. As you asked at the first post (Steve's email) the injection hex address is 0x3640

I will tomorrow. I won't change boost but I can make it a bit more shifty. Just tell me please what boost you have with this. Overboost and up to red line

Actually my overboost is set to 1,7 bars maxi. As you know my fuel pressure is set to 3,8 bars and give me 468CC/min. I will adjust my settings when I will install a AFR sensor.

The engine speed is set to 7200 RPM (I think) and with my engine (stock with just reinforced spesso gasket and screws, cold spark plugs, direct admission kit, N group exhaust line, balancing shafts shunted) it's perhaps too high (?)

Overboost is high but if you have spesso head gasket is ok. What boost do you have in red line?

you will see your car more shifty with this. i open the injectors too (as i know from previous post you have now iw058 which are 384cc). maybe you have to decrease the fuel pressure because is to high and now you don't need to have so high fuel pressure. for first regulate to 3.4 bar but the best is to measure with a wideband and leave it about 11.2 afr. good luck mate

Can I just add to this thread that all ECU maps must be used at the owners own risk. The forum and website cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused by using these files.
This disclaimer also applies to Mpampis_ .

Once again use of this file is at your own risk, please make sure that you take all possible precautions to protect your engine.

No I don't have IW058 injectors (stock). I have replaced them by Bosh injectors (4 jets) that give me 468CC/min at 3,8 bars

    Question for mpampis :

In your bin file, the injection pressure cut is set to 3,36 (bars ?)

It's known that fuel pressure regulators have a pretty big tolerance (+/- 5%) for their nominal pressure.

So, my nominal pressure is set to 3,8 bars - 5% = 3,61 bars

What do you think of this ?

I believe practice than theory. I only open the injectors at higher boost levels just to be safe at high boost levels. The best you have to do, go to mechanic and borrow a wideband lamda sensor, put it in exhaust and try to regulate the fuel pressure until you have 11 afr at WOT

As I see your injectors are about 370cc at 3 bar full pressure. I think iw058 are better (384 at 3 bar) this is my opinion

I reopen this post. I have installed an AFR sensor on the downpipe approx. 1 meter after the turbocharger.

When I use the file "Delta16S_XXXCV_BRUNO.BIN" or Mpampis version of this bin file, on charge the AFR value is 10 (or less).

The better bin file is finally "Lancia Delta Integrale 16v 1.7bar boost non-kat".
With this file I have (always on charge) AFR values between 10.3 and 10.8

What do you think about this ?
