    Default Front prop donut

Well it looks like I've found the reason why I was getting a horrible clunking when the engine was running.

Thats looking up through the rear engine support towards the front prop-shaft joint. Yes there should be a rubber donut in there, not a black mess of mangled rubber.
There is no actual donut left in there so the prop is being driven purely by the meshing of the bolts

Just one more thing to add to the shopping list.

I didn't think Classic Alfa did the 116 series of cars, I'm trying to get a list put together then get it all from EB spares or somewhere like that.

I'm not sure tbh - EB should be fine though

I'm going to hold off buying the donut until I get the prop-shaft off completely, then I can get a look to see what the other donuts and center bearing in like.
I've managed to source all the spare parts I need so far, which is a nice surprise after trying to get hold of Q4 bits.
