    Default Plastic Parts

As Carbonfibre and Composite is so expensive I have begun to investigate the ability to make molds of the widebody kit for our 155s
I have asked for prices for fenders/door maybe even bootlid and hood in FibreGlass, this will be standard measures unpainted items if everything works out and fit OK after I have tested the first kit.

All of these items weighs a huge amount, everyone who has had any of these taken of the vehicle knows what I?m talking about.

Now to the question would this be of any interest for anyone if the deal is made here.

By "widebody" do you mean the TiZ kit?

If so, I think you'll have some interest.

Tomorrow I will make an upgrade to the engine. After that my next step is ti-z body kit. When I will do that, I will know about the price so I tell you. I will modify wider parts from Integrale for this step.

As colibry said it is the normal (facelifted 95-) widebodyversion I have asked on.

But maybe this is not worth it at all if there is already someone who has molds and do this, 200 Euros sounds pretty fair, how do I come in contact with the greek that does this, Varypodaros?

I have also dreamt about the TiZ kit but I was thinking about converting to original widebodyversion as step one, it is very much needed to fit my 19" wheels
and if I can have the parts made in a lighter material I would not only spare som wieght but also have molds to make more if anything brakes, I am going to take it to trackdays and know that parts take damage if you push the limits..

as this is only an inquiry from my behalf I do not know if there will be any deal made and neither how much the price would be, just posting for investigating interest.

mpampis: when will you start with your TiZ kit, will you make it in metal or something else? will you freehand based on images or do you have any measurements or similar to go from?

    best regards

    Hi Dave!

I'm very interested in these ligth WB-parts!

Because thinking of a WB-conversion with metal parts I'm much more interested in these lighter parts as I have not got any WB-parts yet. I already thought of buying one more whole 155 WB (any motor), to get the parts.

So I wouldn't have the need to buy a whole car, only for a few metal parts and I would have the great advantage of a 155 Q4 "alleggerita" (G ran T urismo A lleggerita)... and, by the way, better fitment for the wheels...

peter - where did you get the bonnet from, thinking maybe if the one who made yours already have a mold it would be cheaper to get from there?

mpampis, which front bumper do you have, very interesting, and interested

fochista - I thought exactly the same as you, buying a spare WB version of the 155 and taking all the parts but as a friend of mine stripped his down just taking the engine to another car I could have these for free just needed to help him take them off..
    anyone done this?
a lot of really hard to cut gluelike goo on both the front and rear fenders but they are mostly bolted on..

thinking of making copys of them in lighter material as you really do feel what parts weigh when they are loose..

Yes, there is an extra strip on the front of the wheelarch to fill the space created by the wider arch.

I'm doing this conversion very soon

There is a company by that name in existence but it might not be the same one that used to make fibreglass bits for Alfas...the owner was a member of 155.org many years ago.

Sorry, didn't see the question. you can find him on Facebook, here:
    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Carbon...s/360350176652
he makes carbon copies of anything you want, and the prices start from 200 euros. it depends on the size of the piece you want to make.

The fact that he made the whole body is impressive, the fact the body only weighted 20kg is amazing!!

Mind you I think that turbo is going to be a little laggy!!

Superb Alfa build (well it's kinda an Alfa!)

Real transmission to handle the power he's building for, no lag for that fella, he'll just hold it on boost before launch.
