Spoken like a true Q4 owner. The oil pump is in the garage, not on the car.

    Well, it's a while ago.
When it was running, I saw almost 8 BAR on the gauge with 10W40 and a cold engine.
A hot engine gave me just above 2 BAR. Whilst normal driving, the gauge would go up guickly to stop round the 7 BAR.

Presure sensor is new, not sure if the gauge gives the correct reading.
The garage where the car was in service has done something to increase the oil presure.

I know Bielstein in Germany also sells different oil pumps for the Delta Integrale and 155 Q4. Housing slightly different, but good fit and same operation. No modifications required.

If you can get a hold on a OEM oil pump it's going to cost a fortune

I've never pulled down 2 pumps side by side but I would have a guess there are some internal differences even if they are identical on the outside. Probably the gears used for flow volume. I know this is the case in the old Fiat SOHC motors. The Uno turbo pumps have different gears to the non turbos.

The only difference is the pressure those pumps are producing. I was told there is a spring and can change the oil pressure by changing the tension on this spring (of course didn't try any gambling and used the original one.) . Those Schadek branded oil pumps are very common in Turkey. They were produced for Fiat 8v engines and seems exactly same with Q4's genuine oil pumps externally and because of lower pressure they produce many Q4's do suffer engine detonations caused by low oil pressure in Turkey.

Official figures are that it should be showing 1 bar at 100'c with standard factory recommended grade of oil (which I think is 10/40) at idle.

    Hi!

Thats what I see on the oil pressure gauge of my Q4. And it goes up to about 4,5 bar (warm engine) and about 6 bar at cold engine.
