    Hi nick,

what seems to be the problem with fitting the shock? Where are you having problems?

I've checked on the part number and it does seem to be listed as a fitment for the Q4 (1992-97) , Seems a little odd as almost every other shock manufacturer lists the Q4 separately.

Thats strange, just had a quick look at eper (online version so might not have got all the details) and it looks like the hub carrier (the part that bolts in there) is a shared part between the Q4 and other 155s so there is no reason why the gap there should be too small.
How much too small is it?

Ah ha got an idea. I've got an old original strut / shock downstairs in the garage, I'll pop down and measure the gap for you.

Just been down and, from an original strut, that distance should be @ 37mm . What is the gap on the new strut you have?

Just a thought, but your front hub carriers haven't been swapped for something non-original have they?

Is that one listed as for the Q4? Just came up as for the 145 when I did a search.

Be good to know if either the shock nick has got is not suitable for the Q4 or nicks hub carriers are different from standard first I think.

Thats really crappy coming from a big company like Bilstein. Are they going to refund you for the damper?

I think KW do dampers for the Q4

Front shock absorbers for 155 V6 or 2.5TD will fit your Q4, because the part where the hub carrier attaches to shock absorber is the same. All other 155s have that part narrower.
