What phone?

As further proof of me getting older. For the first time in years I need a new phone and have absolutely no idea whats good and whats not on the market.

Quite taken by the idea of a smartphone as it would be quite useful for work, but I am completely lost when it comes to which one.

Any of you guys got any recommendations?

HTC with the Android OS is my preferred choice.

I have had a couple of Nokia smart phones.
Currently I am using the N900 and really like it. Unfortunately it's no longer supperted

My next phone could be one from HTC with android on it. Lot of app's available and support from the vendor is currently no problem at all.
A collegue of mine hase one and I could play a little with it and made a good impression
