Flocking

Has anyone used a DIY flocking kit to cover internal panels?
I've got a few holes in the interior of the car that are covered up at the moment by <shudder!> carbon fibre film.
I want to close up the holes and then cover the small panels with flock.

All the panels can be removed from the car to work on, but I was just wondering if anyone had experience of using the DIY flocking kits. How easy are they to use and get a good result from?

Really don't like the look of this panel anymore, so I'm gonna get a flocking kit and see what the results are like.
