    Default Bonnet catches

Another post that was lost when the hosting co. screwed up.
As you may remember, I managed to swerve a bullet when working on the clutch cylinders. My bonnet release cable was severely corroded and snapped as I was taking the front panel off. A couple more pulls and it would have been snapped cable with bonnet shut time!!

One option is a new cable, the other is a pair of bonnet catches. These pair caught my eye

And here are a couple of pics of them fitted. Bear in mind my car is black though, so should be quite unobtrusive.

    Opinions?

If it wasn't a black car I would of said no way but as you say it will be quite subtle.

Just taking a look at the prices of the catches, I always though Demon Tweeks were on the expensive side, but the catches on there are €45 whereas from BPSRallye (the equivalent over here in France) they are €79 . Exactly the same catches!!!!

I think j1v has already got this style of catch fitted to his bonnet. If you go to his homepage listed on his page HERE you can spot them in a couple of the pics.

Oh and j1v if you are about, any chance of a few more pics of where you placed them under the bonnet.
