Default 1954 Alfa Romeo Barchetta Sport

Spotted this on a Classic car sale site and the first thing it reminded me of was an AC Ace\Cobra. Not brilliant pics but what do you think?

For a car in this price range, I would expect a full history, much more pictures and details of the restoration. Much better pictures and technical information can be found online. Those pictures will reveal quite a different line to the car, this one is way too high up on it's suspension, or at least appears to be due to the black wheels. http://barchettasportscars.com/67.html

That's been for sale for a while now I think...can't say I'm overly impressed with it, possibly the wheels/tyres don't quite work???

As Whizz says, need a good history imho, particularly considering it's age and potential price!

Ah, don't think my post was all that clear, I meant did other people think its got similar lines to the AC Ace? Especially at the trailing edge of the door/rear wing.

The AC Cobra was basically a V8 somebody forked into an AC Ace. That started life in 1953, the same period that this Alfa came out. The long sleek nose and the lifted rear fenders do have a rough similarity, but the AC has the rear fenders much lower as can be seen here:

The evolution of the Ace and later the cobra made those lines much more agressive and pronounced. So, if anything, the Cobra was modeled after the Alfa Barchetta, not the other way around.
