    Nice!

My own Q4 project is a quite slow at the time - but when I get the time again - i will definitely have these uprated anti rollbars.

    Nice work all of you!

what would be interesting is a full report on how the 28mm front bar performs. I hate body roll, and have installed the same rear 24mm bar that is being referred to here. In my opinion, the body roll control of the rear bar alone (using the std front bar) is sufficient. However, I am using 650 lb/inch springs on the front and 550 lbs/inch spring on the rear. These also have an effect on controlling roll. The KEY limiting factor in how fast these cars will lap any track is the amount of understeer that is developed in corners where the speed of the car is forced to drop below 65kmh - typically on 2nd gear corners with a bend angle of more than 90 degrees. Typically understeer on these corners strictly limits the speed of getting back onto the throttle. Thus, any increase in understeer with result in higher lap times. I have found that using VERY stiff springs in the rear of my Q4 can assist in reducing understeer as it is easier to get the back of the car to slide a little in these slow corners (even using slicks).

Well done on getting us another option for the front bar NA15575, it will be great to get a report in the future about how it works.

    cheers, jim.

jim i have under steer with my car on the track (and roll )
i have it with oem springs and hand made absorbers
i still have it with the rear antiroll of 24mm
i still have under steer with the XYZ coilover but not the roll
i thing that the under steer is from the body-roll all the weight goes to one front tyre (outer in the corner)
the last set up is a setup with hard springs that they control the roll of the body
but i still have understeer on the track and nothing from comfort on the road
now i want to test a different setup
strong antiroll bars to control the body roll and the normal springs with good hard absorbers i belive that this is a way to reduse understeer and roll and always have 2 front wheels in contact with the track and of course comfort on the road

your experience is bigger than mine if you want, and if you have time , the 28mm front antiroll bar is ready and near to you .
you can get it and test it in your car after that you send it back to me
i thing that the only one that can tell us if the antirolls is good or not is you
so go for it if you want

    thanks Nick

sometime ago i asked about this problem to evo engineering and he suggested 2.5 deg negative camber on the front susp will improve massively the cars proneness to understeer, which makes sense as i always found on my car on track, it would destroy outer edge off outside tyre and inner edge off inside tyre and rest of the tread pattern was untouched !
and also if you look at the GTA racecar it is very much set up on neg camber on all corners.

disclaimer: i have not got around to doing this "mod" yet, so cannot vouch for the accuracy of above statement(s) ! :p

I have max. negative camber with the D2 setup. And my tire wear is even spread on the front tires.

Were as before the outside would go long before the inside of the tires.

I am using 4.5 degrees neg camber on the front and tyre wear is reasonably even. I still get more wear on the outside edge than the inside however. The harder you push the car the more you see this. I think 4.5 degrees is about ideal for a 'track only' car, but this would be far too much for a street car.

Jim, how about breaking with this much of neg camber? Also, do you have a chance to measure the temperature of the tire - when the temperature spreads evenly from one side of the tire to another, then you have the best set up for that particular track and can do fastest laps... Also have you tried a toe out (or negative toe) - that is racing set up but helps to drive through corners faster (though difficult to drive the car on straight line).

Well, suspension setups is the whole new since for me, lots to know, but will try all this stuff when put my car on track hopefully soon...

Sounds expensive for what they are but given it is the only price and the only place that are making them in one off orders, it probably is not too bad if you really want them
