    Default DTM video

Wich engine is mounted in this car?
Sounds as a V6, but was the transmission adapted to 4WD?

Yes, they were/are absolute monsters with 4wd

"The 1996 version had a 2.5 L 90? V6 engine delivering 490 PS (360 kW; 480 hp) at 11,900 rpm, had a top speed of around 300 kilometres per hour (190 mph) and weighed 1,060 kilograms (2,300 lb)"

I hope that was resting on more than just the air jacks!!

I caught one of those at Goodwood in 2000 or 2001 when they were starting it up for a run up the hill. First step in starting the car was to stick a massive gas powered space heater in front and blow hot air over the motor to warm it all up.
I'm sure I posted some pics up on the site somewhere.

Love to see a blueprint for how they managed to fit the motor and transmission into the front of that, especially as it is sooooo low.

NO way, I?m keeping my I4 turbocharged.

Just curious of how this engine was fitted (besides lowering it).
Wich gearbox was mounted with? Was all the transmission a development for competition? Was it from another car?
