    Default Unhappy Idling from cold

Still having problem with the idle and would welcome your suggestions...

I need to check the MAP sensor pipe but not convinced that's at fault because it idles fine when warmer, after about five minutes.

    Works done so far...
    1. water temp sensor replaced
    2. valve clearance set
    3. ICV cleaned...twice!
    4. found the source of the hissing (not inlet related)
    5. system appears to be without leaks
    6. new air filter
    7. new NGK BPR7EIX iridium plugs

I'm wondering about wear in the ICV and the measurement of the little nut on the end

Could it be my C&B inlet cam is causing the problem, idle when warm is still lumpy but I can't recall what it was like before?

Might look at replacing the plug leads...any other ideas?

Squadra chip as far as I recall is just for an oem engine/car cams included.

Which C&B cam you have? Is it possible you have fueling problems due to the chip or timing problems with the cam setup you use?

    Yes...it is very possible

From memory it's the "medium street".

Think I need to hurry up and buy a new turbo and get it remapped

I think it's the map too.

Yeah, seems the most likely culprit

Probably not getting enough fuel on cold starts...it has become a little harder to start too (crank sensor on my list to do!).

I do, not fitted yet...although it's only a basic one, not wideband.

even a narrow band AFR should be able to indicate bad fueling at idle or constant speed.
    I think at least.

Yes, it will just say good or bad, which is all I wanted.

Getting p155ed off with my Q4 at the moment...coolant out of the expansion bottle at 95degrees, need to check head gasket

Think the second hand turbo has blown too

Seem like I fix one thing and two more go wrong!
