    Default Rear Springs

    I have the D2 suspension system in my Q4. I have been looking for some stronger rear springs that would work with the Q4 without too much modification. I am happy to report that I have found some! They are King Springs Part # KFFL-53SL. They are actually from the front of a particular Ford sedan that is sold here, but they fit very well. All that is required is to cut the tops to provide the correct ride height. I cut off a single coil to give the same base rear ride height as before.


    These springs are 540 lb/in (as compared to the 200ish of the D2 ones). I am using 650lb springs on the front. Removing a complete coil also increase the spring rate. The springs cost $130.00 (AUD) a pair thats about 50p. in UK money.
