    Default My Q4`s from Austria

Hi I am Chris from Austria and i currently own three Alfa 155 Q4 series 1.

On the pictures you can see my black one, which i drove during the winter. For these one i have planned to repaint it in the next winter.

The red Q4 i have bought because there are almost all original parts at the car and it was located near to my place. Maybe in the future i also can restore it and use it for the summer periode only.

The last Q4 i bought from Germany and is used now for spare parts, because of a defect crankshaft.

    Have a nice week!
    Chris

Thank you very much for this nice welcome to the forum!

It is great to see that there are much people around the world, which are fascinated by Alfa 155 Q4.

Also in Austria there are not so much Q4`s left, okay there weren`t much ever.

Before the winter period i have invested much time to get my black Q4 back on the road again. So i changed all belts, spark plugs, filters, installed a new alternator and a good radiator. I repaired the brake system, that means i exchanged the back brake callipers and mounted two new handbrake cables.

The last thing i checked was the original waterspray system and it works. But i have to say, these was a nerve-wracking repair. In the end i found out that there is a not screwed powerline (look at the picture) behind the ABS block, which has to be connected. Then i put the new Relay in and it works!

    Have a nice weekend!

Yesterday i found two pictures from my Q4`s on a meeting in 2005.

I should have bought them at this time. Because the last owners didn`t take care about the cars.

What do you think about the pictures?

    Cheers,
    Chris

although I detest 'red' color, I believe the red one is the one I like the most.

The black one's styling touches are a bit too much for me, but the red one looks just great.

    Hi!

Yes you are both right, my red one looked like a good Q4 should look like.

I made the decision to restore my red example in the next years. After the restoration it should be complete original, only with a bit more power (~300 hp).

My black Q4 is my daily driver beside my Fiat Tempra and i`ll use it through the winter time again. I know normally i shouldn`t drive a Q4 in the winter any more, but it is too much fun.

    Have a nice week!
    Chris
