what do you think the 'man' {boy} in the snake mouth means?
That the snake is giving berth to a man
    or
does the snake eating the 'man'?

Snakes when eating something start to swallow the head first. On Alfa's badge, the man's head is out of the snake's mouth! Well, is it 'giving berth' to?

Far as I know the Alfa symbol (which is based on the Visconti family/Milan symbol above) is of a dragon eating a baby...something to do with the Moors I think.
