    Default Strange crankshaft

Does any of you know anything about this crankshaft?
A friend of mine, has it in his Q4 engine. A bit strange...

It looks like a standard crank which has been machined to make it lighter, difficult to tell without seeing it close up.

Almost without doubt its a standard crank that someone has started to lighten, the initial stage has been done. It's been in a milling machine to remove meat off the leading and trailing edges off the counterweights. There's more work to call it a proper job of lightening, it's gained in respect of it's weight but lost on some othe issues. A few tips can be seen in the crank I designed and had made. It's a LOT of work to come anywhere near this thing and thats only the counterweights
