Default ABS lamb is on, occasionally..

Does anyone know if it is possible to read out a fault code from blinks of the ABS-lamb, or do I have to see a AR mechanic, with his ekspensive tools?
My lamb turns on occasionally, and stays on, until I shut off the car. If I turn on the car again, the lamb has turned off (usually).

did you try to give some gas {press gas pedal} with the lamp on?
mine stays on {after starting the engine} until I give some gas and then goes off. I also have no horns when the abs light is on. I believe it should be related to the alternator {?} in my case but I do not have the time to 'search' more this problem.

I sometimes get the same...no problem with the ABS as far as I know.

    There is a test proceudre:

(Connector T1 should be on top of the drivers side strut...I think!)

You could also check the drivers side rear light fitting/bulbs as this can cause false readings.

Exactly the same as mine, I think it relates to poor current until the engine is revved.

I think this is a generel thing, because the alternator has to overcome the resistace in the battery, before it can deliver current (power) to the car. It is the relay in the alt. that has to go on.
