I think it might be the same...I say this because the dealer hasn't got the exh-manifold or turbo oil pipe gasket I'm after, they had to approach a Lancia specialist and the price is apparently a few pence more...but I guess it's worth a try, but will definitely be inspecting mine a little more closely

Which gasket is this?
Square one with 4 stud holes I believe. It connects the pipe off the turbo in to the rest of the exhaust..

Yup, the one after the small 90deg bend, before the precat.

I tried to get a gasket for the dowpipe to turbo elbow (square, 4 holes) and Fiat claimed it wasn't available anymore - but it was ridiculously expensive. So I took the old one to a local motor factors, they matched it up to some other gasket for a another car and it only cost a few quid!
Do you have a pic of the parts involved or a diagram please?

Thankyou.
I figured that was the one you were talking about, both my cars have the same joint, but no gasket, no compound and seal fine - always have done for 7 yrs. I think the heat and expansion seals the surfaces together. Something worth considering maybe? If it doesn't work you have lost nothing as it is an easy joint to get to.
Interesting...thanks

Turbo gaskets on Ebay too:
http://motors.shop.ebay.co.uk/items/...e&_osacat=9800
Although I just pop round to my local turbo reconditioner and get them for free.
I would strongly recommend a Spesso manifold to head gasket, they are well worth the extra money and as you have seen, the standard style gasket is no good in this situation.
Now that's annoying, the oil gaskets are ?5 each from Alfa! But to be fair they are pretty heavy duty whereas the ebay versions look a bit on the cheap side
