Default removing upper steering column cover.

I need to remove the upper steering column cover in my widebody. Manual mention just three screws for the lower cover and two screws to remove for the upper one. Are they 'allen' typer or just 'cross' type screws? There is no need to remove the steering wheel, correct?
Sorry for the terms, I do not know if they are correct.

    Default

They are normal "+" posidrive type screws, four to remove the lower cowl, the two more for the top.

They come off without removing the wheel, as you say
