    Default Wiring Project.

I'd like to do a "minimalist" wiring map for the Q4 that shows how to wire one up from scratch (after having removed all the old wiring, fuses, relays etc..). Reason, I'd like to implement a wiring system that is easier to troubleshoot at the track, less complex and weighs less. Things I'd like to include:

    lights, front and rear
    start circuit from ignition switch
all ecu connections to sensors required to operate the car (tps, map, camshft timing etc..)
    ABS
    idle control

i'd like to exclude everything else.

Any ideas on other things that you'd HAVE to have.. or where to start?

Need to keep the wipers, cant think of anything else though.
Would you not prefer to loose the ABS for track use?

Yes, definitely need wipers - Many "modern" racecars use some form of ABS here. It actually performed VERY well in the wet at winton the other day!

Too much hassle of a job if you are not fitting a race ECU if you throw out the AC you have done a lot!
I swear i didnt do it!

I know its a lot of trouble - but I really want to keep the cars original ECU - and - have simpler wiring! I have already removed the entire heating / aircon system - but many "legacy" wires still remain!
