Hi Wrinx, I have purchased one of these so that I can upload the code into Tuner Pro RT and compare it to the software that I am using now. I have already copied the code off the chip and onto the Ostrich - so I can confirm that the car starts and (sorta) idles using the code from this chip. I wont have time to actually test it on the track though till mid July, as I am going to France for a month - but as soon as I do I will let you know how it compares to the standard one.

One thing though - the chip is not based on the 101.04 code - and does not share any common code. It does have about 15% of its code in common with the 101.05 code however - but the upshot of that is that there is no "XDF" file that you can use to make adjustments to this code - so what you get is what you get.

+70bhp with a straight ship swap? Might be possible if you really push the boost to the limits of the standard engine.

One thing to bear in mind is that with a tubular manifold / large air filter / minimal exhaust and other work, when I had an EvoCars chip fitted and the car tweaked on a rolling road with both Barry and the guy who wrote the chip present. My car came away at the end of the day with 'only' 270bhp

Its really only "rear wheel" horsepower that counts!

with authentic Evocars chip {and all the other settings} you can have at the most 220 - 230 bhp.
And to tell the trougth, the Evocars {for 101.04} chip is entirely based on Lancia's Integrale EVO 2 chip with too many mods.

with authentic Evocars chip {and the settings} you can have at the most 220 - 230 bhp and not more. You can have a +10 bhp for every + 0.1bar boost rise, is the rule for every kind of chip. Fuelling is something to be attention to.
With Tipo inlet cam 270 bhp is possible.

    @Jim.
try to compare the OEM Lancia Integrale EVO2 chip with the one from Evocars and you will see that this chip is based on this oem one without too many mods.

I have read of people getting 270 from their Fiat Coupes (16vT) with just an electronic boost controller (sorry wrinx, looks like I was talking rubbish when I mentioned this at AI).

    The Squadra chips claims 235BHP.

From my understanding, the Evocars Q4 chip was written using the Q4 breakpoints as there are more of them, with Evo2 data.

The Evocars Q4 chip is, or was taken from the chip written specifically for my car, as the Evocars laptop with all the images on went tits up, (Not really surprising if you ever saw the EvoCars office) and they had to re copy all of their chips from ones that were out in the field.

There's an interesting thread on FCCUK about these chips...

    http://www.fccuk.org/forum/ubbthread...541252&fpart=1

I'd be interested to hear of any owner reports for the Q4....I know one or two are running them

with standard exhaust, you cant get 260hp.
    with chip, intake, bigger intercooler, I got 225hp / 356nm ( 1.35bar --then drop under 1bar 4700rpm )
    my friend make just an 3" exhaust 0.7bar 220hp / 300nm
those 2 together = 250-260hp and then turbo wont flow anymore.
standard fuel pressure with squadra chip was good up to 270hp.
and with 3.4 bar pressure we measured with bigger turbo 325hp
FMIC, bigger turbo, squadra chip, fuel pressure to 3.2-3.4 bar, 3" exhaust and good intake
    1.2-1.25bar boost = good 300hp car !
standard cams, exhaust manifold etc are still good enough for this goal.

That can't be right surely...just a chip will take it to over 225.

    Smile

the standard exhaust is shit ! and I have dynopaper from that.
with same chip however I made that +260hp with same fuel pressure..
and 30hp just replacing the exhaust to 3" . that really tells you something. and also
dynopaper on that too. dont believe every chip seller, what they told. and different dynos also.. remember those are not same.

    decat--cat--2 box--box--backbox-- = no power
    3"--------------box------backbox--= POWER !

of course its nice if someone gets over 230hp with chip, but still... if you want good power, replace the exhaust or there will be huge backpressure !
