?188 lighter but shes runs like a dream, at least I can drive it now
still can't find one cheaper, even for a coupe
Not going to pay ?100 for second hand one when it could fail in a week
Stuck really and it needs to be fixed before the weekend:doh:
Bad news stator burnt out rotor low insulation leading to failure of diodes and voltage regulator
?190 exchange can't find one cheaper
well the alternators out and at the workshop for test and repair, fingers crossed :frown:
No matter how hard I rev it the lights stay on:frown:
The Q4 has been hardly used lately mainly short trips and all has been fine until today, Started it up and the battery and ABS lights won't go out.
I've stuck the battery on charge to check that...
Mine went through the MOT without cats this year with no issues, never used the garage before either:cool:
Thats what I've got fitted, works a treat
Mines fine it's much better than the stock one, and the bolt holes did line up
Nice job Jack where did you get the new breather hose?
The Pierburg is just a solenoid which is NOT polarity dependant so it will work either way round.
If you connect the Pierburg to a 12v supply you should hear and feel the valve operate either way...
that is the same as mine works fine
Ok
I've connected the 2 pipes together and still only 0.3 bar boost
rechecked all the small bore pipework
checked the pierburg has 12v
losing the plot now anyone any ideas I don't think...
its not the waste gate, I've had the turbo off and the actuator is definitely holding the wastegate shut
reading through it seems that its only running on base boost
the clip that held the arm to the gate had fallen off
Been running around and lost all boost reconnected the waste gate actuator, but still can get any more than 0.3 bar of boost all the small hoses are ok
Any Ideas?
AROC UK were offered at ?35 I think
thats tidy
Decats are on and I've stripped the guts out of the precat and WOW what a difference!
I'm out!
I'm going to save for a respray in the summer:redface:

Mmmm Leather
put me down as a possible as an asphalt rally must speak nicely to the wife but after the swing arm I'm not sure?
When do you need a definite yes or no by?
I've found the cause of my clunk on the back end and it would appear to be the rear trailing arm bearing is/has worn,
Does anybody know of a replacement bearing as alfa want me to buy a complete...
