Steves 155 Q4, back on the road 2017??
So a little bit of history about my car, I bought it from a guy in Glasgow, way back at the end of 1999. At that point it had been sat for 6 months, so instead of driving it all the way from Scotland to London, I got it shipped most of the way and then drove the final 100 miles or so.
At that point the Q4 way my only car, so it got used daily, and improved slowly by a London based specialist.
The in 2004 I moved out to France and the car came with me, handy having the steering wheel on the correct side for a change, and it got used on and off for a few years before being tucked away in the garage and used occasionally.
Move forward again to 2013 and I move back to the UK, the Q4 was once again my only car, so it got used daily again, and of course picked up a number of problems, the brake pedal got soft and moved all the way to the floor, the exhaust needed adjusting, the rear subframe which I'd known was rough for a number of years got to a dangerous state. So once again the car war put away.
Roll forward to 2017, and I've finally got around to getting the car sorted out properly, its currently in the garage, the subframe has been swapped out for and almost pristine one, brakes are being looked at, alternator being rebuilt along with a big list of other items.
Its been at the garage for quite a while now and I'm itching to get it back now. The interior is in a bit of a state so am looking forward to getting that all cleared out and cleaned up, the paintwork is scruffy, so a big cleanup and polish is long overdue.
I've missed NAD this year, but am hoping to get the car back soon so I can make it look better and get out and enjoy it.
