I seem to remember a few years back, someone stuffing a V6 into a 145, must be something about them.
That 20VT engine swap looks pretty straightforward, mind you I don't fancy doing a belt change on that!!
Hi all!
In Austria somebody built a 145 Q4.
Have a look:

That's some kind of advantage of a common platform...
Best regards, Martin
we have in Bulgaria
Fiat Tipo
first was 20vt conversion(made by me)

now the car is for painting
That Tipo looks a bit tasty, it also sounds just a little bit like an original Quattro when its on the start line.
Shame about that 145 though, but glad to hear its getting back on the road.
The Tipo and coupe share the same chassis i seem to recall.
Found a picture of the 145 GTA 3.2 V6 I mentioned earlier ;)

I'm not sure the lighter 2.0L makes much difference to the handling stakes, if the pic above is anything to go by.
Lots of power through the front wheels of a 145 seems a bit of a problem.
Steve the problem was driver - me
the car is 4x4
heard about this accident... this is Bobo's car, isn't it?
There is a 145 with a V6 engine conversion done over here too.
The problem with the car according to its owner is that with too much weight at the front end, it makes the car very tail happy on corners. Pretty dangerous me thinks. But on the straight, it's a pocket rocket.
I know, I was there
