Any ideas how much power it takes to turn the SC? Will it be ok on a low compression engine?

That is if the compressor reaaly works (i.e. pumping air into something)
In the schema of my choice (VAG TSI engine ... bypass intake for the turbo, when it spools up) I think the horsepower wasted to rotate the eaton (freely) will be less by a big amount. Can't tell how much :)
And I still have the possibility to turn it off via the clutch, once the turbo reaches it's full boost

The main difference in my car is I have a separate filter for the compressor, and a separate one for the turbo (with a one way valve before it)
Jebus, where does the inlet manifold fit now?? !!
on top of all this :)
And ... surprisingly it really fits ... tight but fits
It would be absolutely impossible with the original q4 intake however, and almost impossible with the grale intake. That's why I got this kappa collector. It's better design for high horsepower and really frees up space beneath it.
Here is the picture again, you can see the differences

Looks like a good few bits can be taken from a Kappa then!
some update ... I've give up to try to put 76mm pipes, and went to 63mm. The space is really tiny down there.
It works, it blows amazingly strong, and the noise is awful. Before I find my blowoff valve was not working properly a couple of silicone hoses had gone away :)
These days I'm doing some final touches, plus I'll try some things to make that noise machine a little bit quieter and next, maybe I'll have a chance to finally drive that thing.

Starts to look and sound like a nice beast.
Are you sure the gearbox and clutch will be able to handle this?
OMG!!!
I want to see that beast running!!
Why is so noisy? Don't think a MB is that loud.
Cool project.
MB?
Mercedes Benz...

excuse me, but ny english isn't so good...
Did you replace the turbine with a compressor?
It has both a turbo and a supercharger.
Yes, thats right, twincharge
Haven't been around for a while, entered today because of a mail received for a PM :)
This is what happened a couple of days after we shoot that video

The most stupid thing is that this is not the first time I do that (opened hood at high speed) :)
Done this twice before on my other car. Feeling kinda dump
BTW, on the pic you can see the reason I dont have the OEM hood locks any more ... fitted the biggest radiator ever possible on that car ... vw passat tdi don't know what year. I don't recommend that to any street driven car :) :) :), lots of custom work needed for the headlamps etc ...
Sorry for the bad pics but ... you get the idea ;)

Definitely you?re not sane...
The bonnet on my track car lifts off and fixes on with four bonnet pins, one day I forgot to fasten them on and set off on a road test.
Luckily no-one was too close behind me when it took off, it cleared the car completely!
I now have a composite bonnet. Have you considered making composite panels for your car? Very light compared to welded steel and filler....
I made a new front bumper to house a bigger intercooler too, a lot of work, but I enjoyed most of it and it looks good.
