Did it fit without any modification?

Any chance you could take some measurements from the brackets and other parts before you fit it to the car permanently?
Hello again!
Finally I'm ready with the "mechanical drawing of the parts"... have a look! :thumb:
Best regards, Martin
Hi Steve!
I just started after you asked...
OK, OK, for sure I wasn't that fast... :D
Have a nice evening!
Damn! thats perfect! Are you a draftsman by trade?
I'm electrical engineer... mechanical and technical drawings were part of my education and are also part of my work... ;) most of them are circuit diagrams, for sure.
Anyway, I've no software to make 3D models or CNC files. If' you make such models or files I'm intersted to get these files... lets say for spare.
The Kit was first sent to my friend Alex because he did the order and the payment (and the registration in the webshop) with his name. As far as I know it came via the "normal post". Alex put it in a "air buffer envelope" again and sent it to me... the last 100km costs about 5 euros. From Japan to vienna it was about 11 euros :thinking-011:
I phoned with Alex as he got the kit to him and he told me that there was no tax and there will not be a tax anymore. As he expressed it on the phone I suggest it's some kind of good luck or bad luck...
He also said, that it's a small part and the chance to be charged is even low.
He has some experience on that... I think. :ninja:
Best regards!
Hi!
I see... unfortunately they also didn't reply to my friend Alex' "ordering mails" till he registratet in their web shop. Afterwards the e-mail communication worked... I also do not understand it
That was my intention to give you this possibility... :thumb: that's why I made the drawings for all of you...
Best regards, Martin
can i buy a kit made by you?
price?
thanks
Hi, I'm currently trying to get prices for manufacturing the plates for the kit and all the other fixings. The accurate drawings have been a huge step forward so it shouldn't be too long before we can get a final price for a complete kit.
Thanks.
Well done Steve

great - perfect chrismaspresent
Nice work guys!!!
I have talked a friend of mine who has a CNC and asked for him to produce this set and the answer was positive.
Now the question is:
Which material should it be built from? Aircraft Alluminium? Stainless Steel? Any other ideas?
And keep the choices cheap please :)
I think the kit from Japan was just in aluminium so that should be fine. No need to go for stainless steel.
Can confirm it is alloy.
Managed to tighten the linkage on mine up on Saturday but for some reason it causes the left cable to fowl the top of the tunnel. Can still get all the gears but 1st feels like it hits something when engaging. Not a real problem though,.
What modification can be done to fix it?
I would like to see detailed photos of it fitted to another car to see if my fitting is correct....although it looks pretty hard to get it wrong!
Thanks! :smoke:
Referring to the discussion about the material:
The brackets of the "kit from japan" are definitly made of aluminium. Of course I don't know what kind of aluminum it is.
The bolts look like as they are made of stainless steel. I wouldn't make the bolts out of aluminium... :thinking-011: "normal steel" bolts should also work, as far as they are in the inside of the car... and you may grease them a little.
