I am considering changing to 17" rims so that I can run 235/610R17 (slick) tyres. They would need to go on an 8" rim - so - i know that plenty of you are already using 17" rims - but what width? will an 8" rim fit under the standard 'skinny' guards? The tyre tread width is 235mm.
