After being stood for a while (far too long really) the clutch pedal on the Q4 is not coming all the way back up, slave cylinder change is in order I think.
Any recommendations for suppliers?
Cheers

Mostly I use Tanc Barrett for that sort of stuff, certainly worth the phone call.
My clutch pedal would not return because the master was shot - worth a check :)
Jack, did your pedal come back up at all? Mine is coming back to the biting point ( so about halfway back up)
Have you checked to see if there's any fluid on the gearbox?

Yep, luckily the battery is in the boot so I can see the top of the gearbox is dry.
Just for reference Tancs have quoted clutch slave at ?26.28 and the master cylinder at ?57.50 plus Vat. So not too bad really.
Possibly the master then...but wouldn't hurt to change the slave first, simply because it's easier

Upside down in the car with hands cut to shreds then? Oh joy!
mine stood for 6 months, and my clutch had the same symptoms, but got fine within driving it a bit. Any clues`?
Sounds like fluid getting past a seal, then once you start using it, it gets forced out completely allowing it to work properly again.
I might just run the car around and see if things improve, but given the price of the master/slave cylinders, I recon I'll get both and keep them on the shelf for the day one of them dies completely.
that was what i was thinking, it won't last forever
hey, nothing last for ever! Why should last this one?
