That looks nice and tidy Brul, is the towbar staying?
I see you couldn't resist sticking those gold wheels on it!
And how does that wiper affect your view out of the windscreen? Does it have a good sweep (without chipping the paint off the bonnet)
I am a bit to tall for this wiper, doens't scrape of any paint anywhere.
In fact, it doesn't come close to the paint when fitted properly.
But then again, who uses wipers these days ;)
Those gold wheels, they where laying around in the garage ;)
Have enough of them for two cars and a spare :hyper:
The towbar might be handy, so I guess it's going to stay.
The gold wheels look pretty good, not too much like a Subaru.
My Q4 originally came with the remains of a towbar, big chunk of metal bolted between the rear chassis rails and the electrics.
My first Alfa was a 155 1.8 16v...brilliant little engine.
wrinx
Good looking girl there!
Love the DTM wiper too, I hope someday I will manage to fit one to my Q4, just to match with the "55 DTM" number plates...:tongue-007:
Btw..what is the ET for those Tecnomagnesio, please?
I have some 8J rims and would like to go for 215/40/17 too. Thanks!
Cheers,
C.
With uprated suspension there isn't a problem, the original shocks are to soft for this setup.
I have the same size under the small body Q4, 55 mm lowering.
Speed bumps and cornering on bumpy roads require care and low speeds. ;)
Hmmm...I have 8J !!! with ET 28 at front and ET25 at rear. So it will be even more on the outside than ET37. Well I have the D2 kit which is pretty tough at front but even with this I'm not sure the tire won't touch the arches.
In the end it might be better to try some more tyre specs:
215/40-17, might touch inner or/and outside arches
215/35-17, might be very low tire for street
205/40-17, I wonder how much streched on 8J.
I got myself into this so I must get out somehow. But I want these wheels so much...
Replaced the headlights for a Xenon kit, color 6000K.
Officially we need the head washers, but they are not on this 155.
The legislation leaves roam to play untill a certain year.
I had this set on the Q4, but here I've got the washer jets ont the bumper.
Never had any problems during MOT nor did they mention it.
Done some work on the car today.
Removed the OEM exhaust from the kat al the way to the back. :D
Need to do some welding also as we found out today :(
Got a EPS soundpipe fitted from the kat to the EPS silencer at the back, with 2*80 exits.
Will post pictures later on, no time yet. first things first, time for a barbecue
Well, here a couple of quick pictures.
The soundpipe al the way to the kat.

Not exactly the sound we hoped for, but very close.
Have you had a longer trip yet with this exhaust configuration? If not just make one and you might notice it gets louder as it gets hotter.
For the first time maybe after my Q4's rebuilding project (...incl. decat and 67mm straight to the back) I've took my wife and my kids for a trip with the 155 Q4. I had to take my foot of the accelerator or even loose gears every time my missy had to use the mobile phone. On the other side, I was able all the time to choose which sounds to be heard and which not :lol-030:.

Drove all the way from Amsterdam down to the south of Holland ;)
It's stainless steel, so it takes time to get the louder sound it produces.
The "problem" is we took this configuration from the previous owner and had no influence to the sound configuration. If we had the exhaust custom made by EPS we had influence, like we previously did. It's not bad, but we hoped for more.... :thumb:
Fitted electrical changeable and heated mirrors yesterday
Also replaced the rear fitness windows for electrical controlled ones
Misses all happy with the changes made this weekend
The missus didn't liked the golden Tecno's, so they are gone  :C
Now on wheels she selected.

Have you already sold the Tecno's?
They are not for sale ;)
I've got plans for those and they will come back under my Q4 ;)
