I have created a map of boost vs rpm in 4th gear. Some things to note.

max boost was 1.025 bar (although i did see a max of 1.096 in another run)
max boost was at 3324 RPM after this boost steadily drops back to the base boost.
by 4200 RPM boost is back to base level.

any comments on if this looks like normal behavior of the system? Sure looks like it to me!

Ahhaaa, thought the 1.9 reading was too high when I read this last night

I think your boost is a bit low...is the car chipped? Mine max's out at about 1.2 now but should be about 1.3 I think (hope!).

Looks ok with the standard chip

With standard 101.05 chip, free flow 2,5" exhaust (incl. 2 catalysts), modified inlet box I got theese average boost figures:

[rpm] [bar]
1500 0,12
2000 0,42
2500 0,79
3000 1,16
3500 1,03
4000 0,90
4500 0,86
5000 0,78
5500 0,83
6000 0,82
6500 0,78

My only reflection is that you should start at a lower rpm, since it may affect the result in higher rpm. Not all my measurements are made that way, but at least there is a 1000 rpm ramp before each reading, except for the lowest.

Hi #84.. What are you collecting the boost data with?

I am using the very scientific method of reading MAP-sensor signal with a multimeter and making notes on a paper....
