Noisy dump valve even at low pressure

After fitting this bailey dump valve I have found the noise it can make is quite inconsistent.

Half the time its pretty quite but then after a while its like it frees up and makes a lot of noise.

Also the time that it dumps the air is quite long, and it can make a racket even from dumping 0.2Bar of boost!

Is it just set too softly? Should I turn the top nut (small bore hose connection) and stiffen it up a bit?

Seems the nut at the top doesnt affect how stiff the spring is - on the old TAS re-circ valve, it does.

On the Coupe forum they mention that cleaning all the grease out of it gives these smyptons - thats what if done, so will need to grease it back up!
