Does this stand for anything other than Quadrifoglio (four leaf clover). I started wondering when I saw this article http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/2166/
Why would the addition of what looks like just an LSD warrant the name Q2.
And why use it anyway?
I would guess that when Alfa first introduced Q4, it just stood for quadrifoglio quattro, and by now it is already sort of a trademark, so they keep using the "Q", regardless that there is no more cloverleaf pinned to the cars.
And it is just that, LSD. It can be bolted to just about any 147/156/GT, has been done here on a GTA, GT 1.9 jtd......Dont know about the 159/Brera
I'd agree with Veki, it did/does mean Quadrifoglio and was linked with the race cars, it has come to mean a higher specification I think (remembering 145s now).
