My Q4 failed it's MOT in the UK at the weekend due to (among some other minor stuff) a speedo only calibrated in KM's. (In the UK, all speedo's are supposed to be dual marked with Mph as the primary scale and KM's as secondary markings. )

So, my question is, would an 8V or 16V normal instrument pack be compatable with the Q4?

Pretty sure 16v isn't compatible with 8v....I'll check ePER, hang on :D

Listed as Q4 only...and over £400!!!!

But, you may be able to cannibalise one to get the dials or even get some from eBay :D

I stuck an 8v set of clocks in my project 155

.....and they worked....right? (Got an 8V in me garage that could temporarily donate it's clocks)

Might go for the swapping faces option though to avoid the hassle next year...

Everything works except for the speedo - but I think Pavs has narrowed that down to the connection on the gearbox.

All the connections on the back were the same - only thing you go to swap is the big plastic binical bit, easy :)

so a 16v rev counter will work in my 8v too? the rebuilt engine will have a 7k rpm redline, so the 16v revcounter would be ideal...

So you've got two faces now...we'd best be careful ;)

Probably the easiest option ;)
