Right, finally got the French plates for the car and am 100% legal over here, but the question is, do I mount the new front plate centrally, or offset a la 156, and open up the bumper air vent?
How big is the plate? UK size?

The plates are UK sized, and I'll stick the plates in place tomorrow with tape and take a couple of pics. See what it looks like in real life.

I prefer "offset a la 156" assuming that there is enough space and the GTA like air-intake in the original plate's place. Later on I probably go for such a mod.
Cheers
Nick
This is something I'm thinking about (when someone gets the measurements ;)) for mine...watching with interest :D

Cheers for the views guys, I have mounted the plate up in the normal place for the monent, but will shift it off to the side in the near future.
Maxi - What have you used to edge the hole that was cut out of the bumper? Don't want to just have the rough edge left at the end of things.

maxiboost,
did you have any benefits with those holes, in terms of lower temperature in the engine or the engine bay?
Nick
Unless there is a reason to move the number plate leave it where it is.
Maxiboosts car looks good, and would be effective if you were moving to a centrally mounted intercooler.
friends ,
This holes use on the Q4`s very hot countrys ,for example Argentina ,
Must be cool something :)
Car look good already .
Juan alzaga`s car has this .
And I think ,
when I install front and center intercooler ,
its need much air input ..
I have intercooler but its stay my room last six months :(

the inner sheet has no holes and someone must cut it also in order to have the same holes as Juan's car.
Yesterday, using Juan's dimentions, I cut the holes in my bumper and I cut the inner part too leaving the 'reinforcement' part as it was. Next week I'll post a photo of it.
Thanks for the dimentions Juan.
Cheers

Thanks Juan....this is my version using your measurements. The hole is slightly smaller as the outline of the black rubber is matching the size in your picture. I did cut it angled on the far left and far right but the rubber only wanted to go curved!

Purely for styling i'm not sold, but if it's functional I'm all for it... just mounting the license plate to the side makes it look like you really want a 156, imo...
why is there water under your car?

Got one of those already :)
Just realised, all my cars have offset plates

Well spotted...the slight darker patch under the car?
Water pump went yesterday :doh::doh::doh::cry:
