Iīm looking for new clutch, but I need full clutch kit. This is only plate?
And itīs sintered, is it?

Has anybody put sintered plate on Q4. How it works? I mean daily triving etc etc.

Yep that is just for the clutch plate, and its a solid one at that, so its going to be a little harsh for road use.
Just remember to change the release bearing when you change the clutch, if you are going to take everything apart, you might as well change all that you can.

Yes, that was in my mind.
I will change all parts including clutch plate, release bearing and thrustplate. I was wondering that something better will be installed, when itīs open. Iīm looking for sinter or keramic plate with very heavy thrustplate so it will hold out my future modification.

Does anybody knows anything about better clutch kit? I have been contact with hörmann, but they only offer me sintered clutch kit. Iīm little worried about that, because I donīt know how it will work in my daily driving.

Well, I put a syntherized clutch in my Q4. For daily driving it's not the best. It's harder (my left leg doesn't need to go to the gym). But I've get used to this.
The other thing it's tht when the clutch couples, it's not soft, I mean, it's look like you're learning how to drive. They told me that one the clutch it's settle down, will no longer be that way. Nowaday I have 1500 km from rebuilt and it's a little better.
I haven't forced it yet, but you really notice when the clutch couples in.
Would I recommend this kind of clutch? Only if you have serious mods in your car, otherway, it's just a pain.

PS: I hope you could understood my explanation, it's really difficult to me to put it in english words.
PS2: Lancia delta's the same as the Q4. Go for it!

Yes, I understand your english very well and I think that is my clutch  My car doesnīt have that 350 hp, yet! Not even close, but it will be some day and that`s one reason why I want made my clutch better.

Doesnīt mather how tight and tough it is. Only what matters is that it last 8) I have very strong left foot

Thanks for information.

EDIT: What clutch kit is in the pictures that you post?

how difficult is a clutch change? Ill hvt odo mine in the forseeable future, is it an engine out job?

Not an engine out job, but gearbox/torquesplitter obviously . Jack (alfajack) has just changed a clutch, but that was with the engine on a bench.

Not particularly difficult, but heavy and fiddly.

It's not a "of the shelf" one, was made by the shop for my car. They make special clutchs.

Old topic up!

Now it is time to change my clutch. All the parts what included on clutch. I have little problem, because one German shop wants to offer me 235mm disc (sinter metal), pulling type plate and bearing.

I have told my self that Q4 has 228 mm disc and pulling type plate. Am I right? My car is -92. Ofcourse this is Grale clutch, but it has to suit in Q4.

Only what confuse me is that disc 228 or 235 ?? And is it pulling or pushing ??

I am fairly convinced that it's a 228mm.

There is a Helix clutch kit at Evocars.com. A bit expensive but it is ok if it's worth it. Anyone here who have tried it?

Btw, Techniclutch's still got a great offer here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LANCIA-DELTA-HF-TURBO-EVO-89-96-FAST-ROAD-CLUTCH_W0QQitemZ4653500069QQihZ002QQcategoryZ10091 4QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohostingurl)

FletchQ4 -You were satisfied with Techniclutch one, right? Do you think it can handle around 320bhp/370Nm of torque?

Yep im still happy with it and he is a nice guy but thought the wording of the ad is a little bit off as this is just the standard clutch and not an uprated item, unless its the valeo uprated one which id been warned away from. They have just painted part of the clutch :? as far as handling more power than standard i think the normal valeo one is good for upto 300bhp anyway. Im pretty sure the standard valeo can be bought cheaper. But yes im happy.

bit late i know but it probably is the same clutch assembly as diesels tend to have heavyduty everything...

tho it may not be so good if you have a chipped/modded Q4
