View Full Version : EvoCars
After Barry Waterhouse sadly passed away I understand that his business EvoCars closed, but I was speaking to a guy at Spring Alfa Day who told me the place had been reopened, does any one know anything further on this? I cant find any information.
Hopfully it will be a good colleague or friend of Barry's who has carried on the business :)
I think I will take a drive up and see whats what, could just be that the guy I was speaking to was mis-informed :?

I thought I replied to you on this Jack, but obviously I didn't. Haven't seen anything mentioned about Evocars carrying on, Paul Leclerc did run the place whilst Barry was in Sardinia, and I'm sure he carried on after Barry passed away, but I'm pretty sure he sold off all the stock. Not sure who they would have around to do the work either. The guys that I knew down there would have surely moved on to other things by now.
Let me know what you find out if you do take a drive past.

Hi all,
Spoke to the new people today,
I dont remember the bosses name but he was a really helpful nice bloke!
I think he said he was a customer of Barrys thoughout the 80s and 90s and now he has taken over the business.
Their number is +44(0)207 703 2225
They are making a new website right now. May go see them at the weekend.
Cheers
Jack
This will be there web address:
http://www.evolution-autos.com/
Currently under construction.
I think I may give my car to them to fix the water leakage, awaiting price
website doesnt look like it belongs to an Italian car specialist any more :(

From the sounds of it they are still 'grale specialists, will check it out when I drop car on Wednesday ;)
did you get chance to call in Jack?

Yes, car is still with them - they found the leak, but also found that Alfa do not sell the pipe anyone, they are sorting it with some ingenuity, hope to get it back today so I can go up to the Ace Cafe with it tonight.
Same old place, looks a lot different though.
They still have all the old engineering side so they can do engine work, skimming what have you, but they are not solely 'grale based, kind of an all rounder, but Paul who I dont know that well, he is still there from the days of Evo's and has the knowledge required for our cars. :D
