Hi all, so has anyone replaced the powersteering belt with the plenum\pump etc in situ in the car. My Q4 is still (!!!) in the garage having things sorted out on it, one of the last things that is giving grief is the powersteering belt, its lose so could do with being replaced and tensioned. The problem is there is no space at all in there, and the garage is having trouble getting tools on the hardware to tighten it back up. So have anyone got details of the special tool needed, or any hints on how to get the pump tightened up again.
Cheers in advance and all that.
The inlet plenum can be removed in 30 mins to give great access to the pump. I've done it a number of times though so all the clips for the rubber joiners align where I want them.
At the same time the hose of death can be replaced.
Does yours still have the AC pump?

#Alfajack yes it does still have the AC pump, although its not connected any more, and unfortunately, in the dim and distant past when the motor was rebuilt, the plenum was replaced with the clips not easily accessible. However I do have an Integrale Plenum, so if the Q4 one comes off I doubt I'd put it back on, I'd bite the bullet and fit the Integrale one.
If the Plenum needs to come off, then I'll tell the garage to leave it for now, get the car back here and do the plenum/hose/ac pump etc all at the same time.
Cheers
